Mustard Seed Preschool Christmas Programs
“Las Posadas” is this year’s theme. The play begins with children as Monks and Native Americans in song. The children will act out the Mexican tradition of telling the story of Jesus’ birth by children going door to door, looking for room for Jesus to be born.
Two Christmas Program nights:
1) Tuesday Dec. 13th – for our T/TH 3s and 4s, and T/W/Th 5s
(Ms. Beth’s, Dawn’s, Dorothy’s T/Th, Elaine’s, Jasmine’s, Dana’s and Delyn’s classes)
2) Thursday Dec 15th – for our W/F 3s and 4s and T/W/Th 4s
(Ms. Charissa’s, Dorothy’s W/F, Ellen’s, Jane’s, Kristee’s and Hillary’s classes)
The costumes are provided. Please look at your child’s teacher letter to see what your child needs to wear under their costume.
They will need to report to their classroom by 6 pm the night of the program.
Thanks to Anna Crane and Shelly Oliver for helping organize parent volunteers for the program.
Giving Gloves December 8/9
Our school gives gloves and mittens to Against the Grain, a local ministry that reaches out to single moms and their children. We have given hundreds of gloves through the years! Please donate a new pair and bring to the school by December 8/9. They can be youth or adults sized ones.
Happy Birthday Jesus Parties December 15/16
Each classroom will host a Christmas Party/Birthday party for Jesus on their last day of classes in December. Look for more information from your child’s teacher for details. Students can order pizza as a group – please look for an order form to come home December 1st or 2nd.
Overheards
Ms. Kristin asked in devotions what a Christmas wreath was made from, and a 3 year old excitedly called out "garlic!"
A 5 year old girl mentioned that "Advent Wreath" wasn't a very exciting name, that it should be called "Mr. Candle."
